Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, things that make me feel happy or thankful or interested; things that are worth remembering; memories encapsulated in just a few words.

My treasures for the past week include
- Grey squirrels at the feeder, digging for sunflower seeds and munching away; watched intently by kitties through various windows.
- A happy, vibrant, verdant patch of moss growing in a sidewalk crack
- A friend who sent twenty additional questions for the year-end survey!
- Raven saying Hello (mwrp!) when I walk into a room he's in
- Moonrise. Huge, reddish orange, sometimes partially obscured by clouds. What a view from our kitchen window!
- Squirrel, after a nap, leaning in and very softly planting a kitty kiss on the tip of my nose
- Patches of azure blue in an otherwise grey wintertime sky
- A note from my parents, complimenting me on some of my writing and suggesting I try to publish some of my essays more widely
- Mezzaluna's fuzzy upsidedownness; her fluffy tummy and tufty toes
