Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, things that make me feel happy or thankful or interested, things that are worth remembering. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.
I gather my treasures throughout the week. I hope you'll consider starting your own list of Treasures — here, or in your personal weblog or journal.
My treasures for the past week include
- The full moon, looking bright and wonderful with clouds scudding across it.
- An egret (great egret) along Hwy 280 in the median on the west side, just south of the Hwy 92 junction. He was walking along in the grass.
- A small herd of mule deer having breakfast next to the trail where Hwy 35 meets Hwy 280 Tuesday morning. There were 10 or a dozen of them.
- I've had two or three recruiters contact me about possible jobs/contracts recently (another one today). That's a great improvement over the past year!
- Hot pink ice plant flowering by the roadsides
- A large, poofy, magenta rhododendron in front of a house I drove past
- Long hugs and closeup snuggles with Bebop; Bebop slurping my ears and gazing deeply into my eyes
- Mezzaluna lying on my chest, trilling; fondling Mezzaluna's ears
- Falling asleep with Squirrel nestled beside my pillow; waking in the night and snuggling back to sleep with my cheek against his side
- Naps and snuggles and games of "Chase Me!" with Raven; giving Raven a ride in the laundry.
