Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words,
I hope you'll consider starting your own list of Treasures. These are my Treasures for the past week.
- A sign in a window above a garage in San Francisco: The last car that parked here is still missing
- A good dinner in a restaurant we like that moved into San Francisco. This is the first time since they moved that we went in and found them. Cute neighborhood too, with a Chinese place we think we'd like to try. Also fun – a co-worker I know slightly walked by outside as we were eating (to the laundromat next door). I taapped the window and waved when he walked past the other day.
- A man who works on the floor above the Company I work for brought in a bucket of naked lady lilies to work the other day
- I had just pulled into the parking space on the left side of this man's car and when I got out of my car he said "I'm surrounded!". I looked and indeed, the woman who drives the blue Scion had just pulled in on his right. I said "Well, now you'll have to get one" and the blue scion's driver grinned.
- I saw someone driving a Corbin Sparrow! They're weird 🙂
- Happy happy chirpy birds! When I went out to fill the bird feeder the other day there was a very happy chickadee chirping at me. He sat on the wire, then in the tree, then the lilac bush, getting closer and chirping constantly. I stood very still and he flew up and sat on the feeder and chirped but he stayed on the opposite side from me, then flew back to a bush in the yard. I closed the feeder and went inside and watched. The chickadee came back as did several sparrows and finches and two nuthatches! Nuthatches are so cute.
- A hummingbird has been flitting around in our yard much of this week. The day I saw the chickadee, the hummer sat in the sun on the telephone wire and the light caught his throat so it glowed like a reflector! So red and bright.
- My parents are in town for their annual visit. I picked them up at the airport on Thursday night and we're enjoying having the Scion to toodle around in. All the luggage fit beautifully as do the people!
