Treasures 2004_36

"Life … is haphazard and full of beauties which I try to catch as
they fly by, for who knows whether any of them will ever return?"

— Margot Fonteyn

Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words,

I hope you'll consider starting your own list of Treasures. These are my Treasures for the past week.

  • Visiting with out of town relatives
  • Taking advantage of the opportunity afforded by the visiting relatives as an excuse to leave work early this week.
  • More Scion spotting. More people have them. I even saw the car that belongs to a woman in my building (although not my company) tootling up the street with her husband and son inside.
  • On Friday afternoon we saw the most amazing car – a small 2-door coop wwith a spoiler the size of an airplane tail stabilizer. It was bright green (not quite the color of antifreeze) and decorated all over with purple irregular polygons with yellow centers. The purple things were about 6 inches across and there was no more than 6 inches between any two of them, giving the car an off plaid appearance from a distance. The windows were all tinted yellow-green. It was obviously a professional job and quite cool, although I wouldn't want one!
  • Grey squirrels at the feeder; so cute.
