We had a cold spell this week. We even had frost two mornings in a row! Rich was worried about the jade plants and I agreed. We covered the outdor plants with sheets or plastic for overnight.
Wednesday was my last day of Junior Achievement. I wrote up the whole experience in my other weblog, commentary.
A friend of ours had rented Spiderman 2 and lent us the DVD after he's seen it. I thought it was a good movie overall. I thought the first half was a bit lame – angsty, embarrassed, stupid. But it got better when good old Peter Parker came to his senses. Perhaps it was meant to.
I stayed up till 3 on Friday trying to figure out a way to convert an NFNT font suitcase to TrueType. All of a sudden I was exhausted. I looked at the clock and was shocked. Yowza. So I dragged myself up to bed. (I finally did convert the font later in the weekend).
Rich went up to visit our friends in Forestville on Sunday and brought back half a turkey (that was part of the plan).
This week I read Keepsake Crimes and Photo Finished , both by Laura Childs. In these "cozy mysteries", set in New Orleans, the protagonist runs a scrapbooking shop. I'm afraid I just don't "get" scrapbooking but the rest of the plot is good.
In between and around the rest, I've had a few naps, several good meals (including dinner with a friend we don't see very often and dinner at Chevy's for cranberry margaritas), and interesting conversations with various and sundry. I've chatted with my dad, posted a couple of weblog entries, and snuggled with the cats.
Onward and Upward.
