"Life … is haphazard and full of beauties which I try to catch as
they fly by, for who knows whether any of them will ever return?"
— Margot Fonteyn
Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.
These are my Treasures for the past week.
- A new heater element for the hot tub and we could soak, finally! after a week-long downtime.
- reading with cats to the sound of rain (a recurring theme)
- fuzzy, verdant moss – on the ground, a tree trunk, a rock
- pumpkin spice cake donuts – still (occasionally) available
- a pretty mule deer stepping gracefully through the grass alongside the trail (on our walk today)
- a pocket gopher (looking sort of like a furry fat sausage), ZIPping across the trail ahead of us, then scuttling through the grass.
- catching an episode of Frank and Buster, the Koala Brothers (insufferably cute 🙂
