Treasures 2005_43

I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it.

Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.
These are my Treasures for the past week.

  • Two ravens (of the avian variety) sitting on the end of a high pine bough, GRONKing.

  • Several walks along our lovely local trails, under blue sky with puffy clouds.

    • A large flotilla of ducks, sailing against the wind.

    • Scrub jays everywhere – about one every 30 feet or so I think!

    • One large (grey green) and one very small (brown, smaller than my little finger) lizard.

    • A small, noisy, very happy, covey of quail

    • 6 mule deer (no partridges or pear trees)

  • A wonderful snugglenap with Squirrel.

  • A large (wet) hawk on a tree branch in our "back 40". It's raining. I love the sound of rain on the roof. I watched the hawk through the binocs till he decided to take off, flying straight toward me! (great view), then veering over the neighbor's yard and away.

  • "Plytanium" – a cute brand name for plywood

  • The skeletal "passengers" in the car parked next to us at the hardware store. The driver said he and sme friends are borrowing them for a halloween party this weekend.
