Imagine if you had a nickel, a very special nickel. With it you could buy a dream — any dream, but only one dream.

I would spend the nickel. My dream is Independence.
I dream of total financial Independence. My dream is for neither Rich nor I to need to slave for some company, work for some manager, or ever again be beholden to someone else for the ability to pay the mortgage and feed the cats.
Financial Independence would bring with it the Independence to work on projects of our own choosing. I'm always telling people that the way I can tell when Rich doesn't have a contract is because he's in his office working on a project (just like he does when he ha a contract. 🙂 But, the difference is that the personal projects interest him so much more.
Financial Independence would bring with it a substantial reduction in stress. I wouldn't need to apply for jobs, interview for jobs, worry about the "right" answers to questions that have no right answers. I wouldn't have to undergo the hassles and the psychological strain of commuting to a job.
My dream is Independence. What's yours?
