Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.
These are my Treasures for the past week.
- Fireworks displays welcoming the New Year.
- Cinnamon- and nutmeg-tinted carrot cake
- Our new 2006 calendars – cartoon dogs, wild cats, colorful songbirds, flowers, …
- Sandra Boynton's "earnest hippos, inspired piggies, brilliant lions, creative cats…"
- Grreenlee's Bakery Cinnamon bread, toasted
- Kitties lying tummy side up (is that "funny side up"? 🙂
- Ghirardelli limited edition "peppermint bark" chocolates
- The north end of a south-moving cat (especially when said cat is a Maine Coon)
- Raven, talking in his sleep (urmph mwrmr rrmrph)
- A hot Serra sandwich from Mr. Pickle's Sandwich shop – chicken, avocado, bacon, and jack, all melted on a toasted sourdough roll (with lettuce, tomato, and pesto garlic sauce). Yumm. Even better after I crisp up the bacon.
