The past is what you remember, imagine you remember, convince yourself you remember, or pretend you remember.
— Harold Pinter
Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.
These are my Treasures for the past week.
- A pair of redtailed hawks floating overhead, catching an updraft
- Cocktail shrimp (all I could eat 🙂
- A positive (I think!) job interview, followed by a request for references. This is good, yes?
- Whole Foods Market (I kept wanting to buy things)
- Candles in the dark
- Electricity! The power coming back on after a 1-hour outage
- Fresh sourdoough bread
- Sun-warmed, snoozing kitties
- A beautiful, sunny, clear spring day!
- Strawberry milkshakes (and a waitress who knows us and says "I'll just bring the whipped cream to the table and you can put it on yourselfves")
- A whole week of work for Rich (and more to come). And he seems to like it.
