Treasures 2006_06

The past is what you remember, imagine you remember, convince yourself you remember, or pretend you remember.

— Harold Pinter

Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.
These are my Treasures for the past week.

  • A pair of redtailed hawks floating overhead, catching an updraft

  • Cocktail shrimp (all I could eat 🙂

  • A positive (I think!) job interview, followed by a request for references. This is good, yes?

  • Whole Foods Market (I kept wanting to buy things)

  • Candles in the dark

  • Electricity! The power coming back on after a 1-hour outage

  • Fresh sourdoough bread

  • Sun-warmed, snoozing kitties

  • A beautiful, sunny, clear spring day!

  • Strawberry milkshakes (and a waitress who knows us and says "I'll just bring the whipped cream to the table and you can put it on yourselfves")

  • A whole week of work for Rich (and more to come). And he seems to like it.
