Treasures 2006_11

Memory: a child walking along a seashore. You never can tell what small pebble it will pick up and store away among its treasured things.

— Pierce Harris

Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.
These are my Treasures for the past week.

  • A rainbow over the Bay

  • "Kitty TV" (The PG&E crew was replacing a transformer on the pole across the street. Raven was watching attentively.)

  • Lox and bagels (with cream cheese, red onion, and tomatoes.) Yum!!

  • Snuggly kitties

  • Grey squirrel running along the outer sill under the screenporch windows

  • Raven stalking the birds on the other side of the window

  • A grey squirrel at the feeder and a wood rat _in_ the feeder (at the same time)

  • Mezzaluna, upside down on Rich's office floor

  • Two Great Egrets, seen from the road

  • "A host of golden daffodils" planted in clusters along the freeway, near Stanford

  • People flying kites in the park across the street – one in the shape of a bird, the other a turtle

  • It looks like Rich has a new two-month (at least) contract starting next week,
