Memory is history recorded in our brain;
memory is a painter, it paints pictures of the past and of the day.
— Anna Mary Robertson Moses
Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.
These are my Treasures for the past week.
- A beautifully maintained 1931 Chrysler sedan (model unknown).
- Reading an excellent and well-crafted book.
- Cinnamon toast.
- Streets named "Java Drive" and "Innovation" in Sunnyvale
- The license plate on the car in front of me, turning into Yahoo headquarters: Y WOOT
- The weird lumps (giant mole hills?) in the grassy area in front of Yahoo Bldg F.
- The purple velour upholstery on the couch and chair in the Yahoo reception area.
- Stadtler and Waldoorf, working for Movies.com.
- A raccoon next to the hot tub while we were soaking. "Hello There!"
- Work! An offer of (at least) a 3-month contract, starting next week.
