Our treasure lies in the beehive of our knowledge.
We are perpetually on the way thither,
being by nature winged insects and honey gatherers of the mind.
— Friedrich Nietzsche
Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.
These are my Treasures for the past week.
- SATURDAY. Cats in my office. No job to go to. Nothing required of me.
- Catching up — on my email, the comics, my Journal, my weblog, my sleep!
- Napping with Squirrel.
- A bit of sunlight still at 9pm. I love summer.
- A co-worker's screen saver – it looks like water drippng and spreading in ripples across the screen.
- A fellow rider on the train had a large chocolate chip cookie as the desktop pattern on his PC. Yum.
- Someone flying a kite in the park. It's very shiny and reflecting the setting sun
- Sign on an auto body shop in Mountain View: Two Ladies and a Few Good Men.
- Two "Spare The Air" days with free transit fares. I saved the cost of 3 lunches.
- Tasty sandwiches for several lunches. This Job has a good cafeteria.
- An unfortunate bug resolved in my favorite application. Now I can upgrade to the latest version.
