Heaven is under our feet, as well as over our heads.
— Henry David Thoreau
Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.
These are my Treasures for the past week.
- Bright red and yellow watermelons, sliced in halves and quarters, on display at the grocery store.
- Cool breezes.
- Getting back both my company ID badge and my spare car key after I temporarily lost both.
- Dinner with a friend we haven't seen in a while.
- Chatting in ASL with my fellow CalTrain rider in the mornings. I'm getting more fluent, especially at understanding.
- Some very nice compliments from people at the Job.
- Watching a woman knitting with a gorgeous iridescent variegated yarn, a ribbon yarn called "Checkmate".
- Watching ravens playing near the Mountain View CalTrain station.
- Working at home on Friday for the second week in a row. I feel so much better after I work at home.
- Working at the computer as Bebop sleeps in the buckets over the monitors, making little sleeping kitty sounds.
- Seeing six or eight ducks geese flying over us.
