Treasures 2006_33

It is singular how soon we lose the impression of
what ceases to be constantly before us.
A year impairs, a luster obliterates.
There is little distinct left without an effort of memory,
then indeed the lights are rekindled for a moment – but
who can be sure that the Imagination is not the torch-bearer?

— Lord Byron

Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.
These are my Treasures for the past week.

  • A cute little mop dog in the car parked next to ours. What adorable ears!

  • The white shirt with a strawberry plant design a woman was wearing in our local diner. There was a ladybug (as big as the strawberry!) on the leaf.

  • Another work-from-home day.

  • BBQ tri-tip sandwiches on crunch crusty sourdough bread

  • Attending an interesting talk on "Paying Down Technical Debt"

  • Snuggles with the kitties

  • crispy bacon
