"Life … is haphazard and full of beauties which I try to catch as
they fly by, for who knows whether any of them will ever return?"
— Margot Fonteyn
Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words,
- Muddy raccoon footprints all over the sunroom roof (glass)!
- Two hummingbird in the bottlebrush bushes
- A nice walk on the trail through the piney woods. Ducks on the lake. A hawk or vulture, not sure which, riding the air currents over our heads (and coming within 10 – 20 feet of the trail!). I stood and watched for 10 minutes or more!
- A mama Mule deer and her two "dear" fawns. Their ears are so big! Two brightly colored butterflies who landed on the trail in front of me.
- Having a picnic lunch with Rich in the park
- Pumpkin ice cream – one of my favorite flavors!. It's too bad it's seasonal but perhaps that helps to make it special. (I bought a hand-packed quart to take home 😉
- A bunny rabbit. On the walk up the hill behind the park (coming home) I saw a bunny. A nice brown cottontail bunny. I stopped to watch him (and catch my breath). He played "furry rock".
