As we were walking through Bed, Bath, and Beyond the other day, I happened upon a nice little appliance. It's a combination microwave toaster oven. Neat!
A Google search indicates that Samsung introduced the first of these combo units in May of 2002. Now Rival and Sharp both have them; I like the look of the Sharp, as well as the name — Warm & Toasty.
Besides, we've been very pleased with our Sharp convection microwave. We hardly use the regular oven at all any more.
Have you ever been to a Bed, Bath, & Beyond store? They're… impressive.
Don't go if you're in a hurry or feeling at all claustrophobic. This is one of those stores with merchandise in the aisles, merchandise on top of merchandise, merchandise everywhere. The ceilings are about 20 feet tall and the shelving goes up about that high. Towels, sheets, and pillow cases hang from near the ceiling for display.
I went there about a month ago, looking for a tissue box holder. I turned the wrong way coming in the front door and it took 15 minutes to find the section I was looking for.
Eventually, I stumbled upon a section that must have had well over 2 dozen different styles of bathroom "organizers" – boutique tissue holders, toothbrush cups, soap holders, trash cans, cups, etc, in wood, ceramic, heavy stainless steel, brass, plastic, resin, glass…
Across the aisle was another section with toilet brush holders, towel rods, toilet seat covers, bath mats, shower curtains…. Together, those two sections comprise a small part of "Bath". Then there's the huge section for "Bed"…
Much of "Beyond" seems to mean kitchen, including every gadget you've ever seen (and some you haven't), placemats, napkins, cutlery, stoneware, china, … And then there's the truly "Beyond" like triangular boxes to hold all of your spare clothes hangers, massage gadgets, boxes, bins, organizers, trays, candles, CDs, bottle stoppers, decorative items with no "useful" function, and Just Plain Stuff.
It's an amazing store. If you've never been in a BB&B and you get the chance, try it.
Go with a friend. That way, if one of you gets lost, the other one may be able to call for help 😉
