"Life … is haphazard and full of beauties which I try to catch as
they fly by, for who knows whether any of them will ever return?"
— Margot Fonteyn
Treasures are positive things that strike my fancy, that make me feel happy or thankful or interested. Treasures are memories encapsulated in just a few words.
- Squirrel. Happy birthday buddy. We're so happy you're part of our family.
- A woman on a walk with four whippets – handsome little doggies
- A happy, fluffy, Golden Retriever (The sun is out, the sky is blue, and I'm on a walk with my human. Ooh! What's that interesting smell?)
- Mezzaluna. Happy anniversary to our darling furprincess. You light up our lives.
- This time of year. Lots of twinkling lights. No snow to twinkle off of but pleasant to drive by nonetheless. Some houses are decked out like human-sized gingerbread houses.
- A day off from work, largely spent snuggling with my kitties.
- Egg nog.
- Raven's able and expert assistance as I hunted for a lost nail clipper, then tried to retrieve it from under the couch.
- Rich's homemade pea soup – lots of ham, no extra salt. The only pea soup I like.
- Fresh sourdough bread.
