Is it just me?
I find video learning to be exponentially more difficult when the presenter has an accent or a poor presentation style. I'm trying to learn a new concept. The need to also place many brain cells on the problem of understanding their _words_ plus get past the hems and haws and attempts at self-effacing humor just makes things more frustrating.
I'm currently watching a training video with the sound muted and the captions on, to avoid the accent problem.
I skipped over two videos yesterday because I wanted to slap the presenter with a fish and yell "get a coach!" (to be fair, he's a university teacher, not a professional trainer, but hoo-boy, I would not want to be stuck in his class.)
I had to stop watching / listening to another video recently because the presenter apparently kept tapping the mic. I kept hearing these nearly (but not completely) inaudible thump sounds.
Distraction is not good for learning.
