Rich and Vicki’s Great Adventure, part 11

When we left Rich and Vicki, they had just closed escrow! (previous post)

This morning, we rented a U-Haul van in downtown Seattle, drove3 it back to the AirBnB apartment, and packed it with most of the things we brought north with us (minus bedding, cats, and computer stuff) as well as much of the stuff we've purchased while here (a small cat tree, a cat "fence", an electric cooler chest (because "dormitory" fridges are cute but tiny)).

Then we ferried over to Silverdale, got the keys, and unpacked the van into the garage.

Up to Home Depot to purchase a hand truck and three "gorilla racks". Back to the house to put those into the garage.

Then back to the ferry and back to the AirBnB (and the cats) for one last night. Tomorrow, we return the van, straighten the apartment, pack the cars, load the cats, and ferry ourselves back to Silverdale to stay.

We've called the movers ("sometime next week") and the PODS people (Monday). In the meantime, we have food, dishes, two folding camp chairs, two folding tables, air mattresses… and a full-size oven, fridge, microwave, and sink!

We can start to plan, unpack, plan, think, arrange… and maybe figure out how to close the wood stove (with great effort, I got it open and now I can't close it again).
