I was sitting on the lawn working next to our little Dogwod, when a sparrow came and landed in the apple tree, about 10 feet away.

It peeked at me from a branch.

I said "hello there".

It looked at me.

 

And then it took off and flew straight at me. It did not land on my shoulder (although, for a moment, I thought it would!) I felt and heard the wind from its wings as it brushed my hair by my cheek!
